Miles Davis recorded ‘Kind of Blue’, ‘Sketches of Spain’, ‘Porgy and Bess’ and ‘Milestones’ between 1958 and 1960. This live record was taken from a concert in the Netherlands during April 1960. This must be the most influential two year period in jazz history, it was Miles Davis at his absolute peak, and you can’t imagine jazz will ever reach such dizzying heights. This live record features a quintet abbreviated from the ‘Kind Of Blue’ recordings.
